Mary has been painting locally for over thirty-five years. She had always wanted to learn to paint, but it became a reality when she started taking lessons with Bill Grasgruber, a well-known local artist.  It was when she took lessons with the late Michael Tanzer, that she decided oils would be her favorite medium, although she continues to work in watercolor and acrylic.

Mary has earned various awards over the years. Her most recent award was first prize in the Oils category at the Annual FASST Members Juried Show. She currently shows at the FASST Gallery in the Oakdale Mall and was the Artist-in-Residence at Riverfront Antiques.
